dot paintings

Much of 2007 was spent painting huge canvases with these little tiny dots... It was kind of a confusing time... Back in Santa Barbara, a laid back resort town, surfer capital, and where I grew up... I had a job for a year and a half where I was a caretaker (or support staff rather) for two middle-aged, developmentally delayed men living on their own. Apparently I enjoyed it, because quite frequently I was doing 80 hour work weeks... so when I would come home, I'd pretty much eat, sleep, and paint these dot paintings... so goes the experience.

mt. rainier

summer 2006 Jacob was a campground host at Mount Rainier National Park, so I paid him a visit...

Jacob and I went to Chinatown in downtown LA. Saw this window display, that is utterly horrifying and baffling in every way possible. Warm day. Hot day even.
